The court in Bejing, China has ordered Apple to halt the sales of iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus and claimed that Apple copied the design of a handset of a company named Baili.
We have seen that many foreign companies are trying hard to establish themselves in countries like China and now Giants like Apple are having bad times. iTune movies and iBooks were also banned in the month of April and now, following it Apple is being sued badly in China for allegedly copied the 100C smartphone.
Apple was found guilty to violate the design of a Chinese Device manufacturer that might result in the ban on iPhone 6 sales in China
said by the Chinese authority. Random Chinese company, has blamed Apple for copying the design of its 100c smartphone from Shenzhen Baili.
This has resulted in an order to Apple from Beijing Intellectual Property Office to stop their sale of the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus for the reason that people wouldn’t be able to differentiate between the two smartphones. Although, the ban doesn’t seem to exist in Apple’s recent models.
The company said,
Apple’s iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have minor differences from Baili’s 100C. The differences are so tiny that the average customer could not notice. So this case falls into the patent rights protection category,
Although, the Shenzhen Baili manufacturer is just one among the growing smartphone manufacturers in China. Such future cases against Apple could influence other disputes in China and create massive complications for Apple.
Apple is currently trying to resist from the ban and get back that hold in the Chinese market. There have been a few bans earlier involving Apple which will require Apple needing to fight hard this time. For now, everyone in China is waiting for a non-copied iPhone 7.
