Facebook, the social networking giant has rolled out an update for its messenger app which features the two most requested functions. It is the Video chat head and the integration of Dropbox for convenient video chatting and file sharing!

Just like those floating chat head that contained the profile picture of the person, now you have a live video chat and multi-task like a pro on your phone! The floating “video” head now has the receiving video of the person and floats around your screen like those really handy chat heads do! It feels really great for a person to discuss something over a video call and still has almost the full screen of the phone to work around in the background!

The second highlight points itself to the convenient file sharing that is done by integrating Dropbox, that too without any need of leaving the messenger app itself! When you click on the “More” tab in sharing option, it directly leads you to the Dropbox application installed on your device and you can directly send the files to the respective person.

In one of the official blog posts, Stan Chudnovsky, the head of product for Messenger said,

We want people to communicate just the way they want to on Messenger, with everyone they care about. Giving our users the ability to share their Dropbox videos and images in Messenger threads with just a few taps will help them bring more style and personality to those conversations.
