After a lot of Nankhatai, McNameface and Nutella, Google, on 30th June released out the actual full-form of “N”. 

It is officially the Android “Nougat”.


So for most of you who want to know what Nougat is, Nougat is a family of confections made with sugar or honey, roasted nuts, whipped egg whites, and sometimes chopped candied fruit. The consistency of nougat is chewy, and it is used in a variety of candy bars and chocolates. – Wikipedia

Yes, the name is a but fancy but this is what majority of the people over the world chose in a suggestion form by Google. Although the form is closed now, you can still view the page here.

MANY people including me were hoping for it to turn out as “Nutella”. And if you were already aware, Google trolled around users by naming the Android N as Android McNameface in its previous Android N developer update.

So Android N developer preview is already available and the upcoming updates is going to be 95% stable as said by the company.
